Prayer of Declaration, Dedication and Devotion

In the mighty, merciful and marvelous name of Jesus, we humbly approach and beseech you, our Holy Father and Creator God. You alone are absolutely good, all knowing, always present, awesomely powerful, astoundingly limitless and amazingly loving and merciful in all Your ways. You are our provider and protector.

By virtue of Christ’s holy life, sacrificial death, victorious resurrection from the grave, and current reign at the right hand of the Father; and by virtue of our faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior; and by virtue of our authority to speak, and live out Your promises...

We declare and dedicate our Sylvan Hills Church family, along with our church facilities, to be a people and a place…
•   Of holiness, healing, health, happiness, help, honesty, honor, wholeness and hope;
•   Of rescue, rest, renewal, restoration, redemption, reconciliation and recovery;
•   Of salvation, safety, solace, and serenity;
•   Of acceptance, affirmation, and awakening;
•   Of grace, goodness, and growth;
•   Of beauty, blessing, and bounty;
•   Of love, light, life, learning, and labor;
•   Of compassion, care, and commitment;
•   Of truth, transition, transformation, and triumph;
•   Where Your personal Presence, power, provision and protection as our great Shepherd is known, realized and actualized;
•   Where Your favor and blessing is experienced, and faith in Your Son is established and expanded;
•   Where strongholds are revealed and demolished, and where freedom and victory in Christ is found;
•   Where worry, anxiety, fear, anger, bitterness, and depression gives way to love, joy, and peace;
•   Where Your word is delivered and received with faith, humility, and obedience; and
•   Where the broken are made whole.

Lord, as partners in and partakers of the ministry of this church…
•   We choose to believe that You have a destiny and a design for us; and that Your ways are always best; and that Your will is good, pleasing, and perfect; and that Your Son came to give us life that is eternally blessed, and presently abundant.
•   We choose to trust and follow Jesus as our sovereign Lord and all-sufficient Savior.
•   We choose to soak our hearts and minds in Your holy word, and to seek Your face in persistent prayer.
•   We choose to know You, love You, trust You, honor You, obey You, and become like You in ever increasing degrees.
•   We choose to delight in You as the all-satisfying object of our souls, and to wholeheartedly devote our whole being to You in humble, obedient worship and service.
•   We choose to be filled with, and to keep in step with, your Spirit; as He abides in us, we choose to intimately abide in You.
•   We choose, by faith in Jesus, to embrace and live out our true identity as Your beloved children, members of Your royal family, saints, partakers of the divine nature, new creations in Christ, and seated with Christ in the heavenly realms.
•   We choose to love one another, and to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
•   We choose to walk in a manner worthy of our calling, following Jesus on His narrow path.
•   We choose to resist the devil and submit ourselves to You, Lord.
•   We choose to be strong and courageous.
•   We choose to put on the whole armor of God, and to take our stand against Satan and all his schemes.

We ask that you, dear Lord, will…
•   Empower and embolden our faith, giving us the resolve to stand upon these statements of declaration and devotion;
•   Open and close doors as You see fit;
•   Open the eyes of our hearts, and give us spiritual wisdom, depth of insight, and understanding, that we may know You, Your love, your power and your hope more fully.
•   Make us strong, when we are weak;
•   Lift us up, when we fall;
•   Protect us from the enemy and deliver us from evil;
•   Take our fishes and loaves, and multiply them;
•   Lord, please provide for all our needs according to Your glorious riches.

Thank You, Father, for always being faithful, reliable, dependable, and trustworthy. Thank You for bringing us this far, and for all the support that has been provided, and for all you will continue to do. Thank You for receiving this offering of prayer, and attending to it according to Your perfect will.

Amen.
